Installation under Mac OS X
This text describes the driver installation for the DSP24, DSP24 MK II, DSP24 System III, DSP2000 C-Port and DSP3000 M-Port under Mac OS X. You can get latest drivers from the download section on the ST Audio webpage as a compressed installer package. Please note that we strongly recommend to use at least version 10.2 of Mac OS X (Jaguar).
This explaination expects that you have currently not installed any driver for your DSP24 series card. It also expects that you have installed the card already into a free PCI slot of your Macintosh system. If you have not done this, please do so before you continue.
| Download the .sit file. Then double click on the downloaded file to uncompress it if that has not been done automatically. |
|
Doubleclick on the .pkg file that was created in the same folder. The screen on the right will appear. In some cases you have to enter your password. Click Continue. |
|
The Select a Destination screen will appear. Please select the destination disk to install the drivers. You should use the same volume that you use for the system installation. Usually this volume is called Macintosh HD. Then select Continue. |
| Please follow the instructions on screen. The files are now copied to your system. |
| When the installation is finished, please shutdown and reboot your system - the DSP24 drivers will now be loaded automatically. To control the settings of the card, open the DSP24 Settings [1] utility from your applications folder. |
